Geography Sleuths: Using Primary Documents to Develop Critical Thinking Skills
Students utilize maps found in local and national historical collections to develop their critical thinking skills about the growth and development of a region. These skills are easily applied to other curricular topics. As part of the practical application experience, session participants will develop hypotheses to a challenge question utilizing New York State maps from various time periods as evidence.
