New Yarts: Putting the Fun Back in Fourth Grade
New Yarts brings the arts back into test-driven fourth grade by integrating music, crafts and fine arts into a “hands-on” study of New York State history. Teacher Created Materials has just published this curriculum under the name Focus on New York State Come to sing, stencil a table runner and watercolor a Hudson River Valley style landscape. Handouts will include three parallel tasks in the ELA and SS state format to provide that necessary skills practice.
