Documenting the Underground Railroad in Your Community: Can You Do It? Yes, You Can!
Using overhead transparencies and handouts, this session will introduce primary materials available in local communities to document oral traditions about the Underground Railroad. It will also suggest a rating scheme to help students decide how reliable their evidence is. Based on a new booklet to be published by the National Park Service.
